To participate, pick up a Father’s Day envelope as you leave church. Write the names of those you wish to be remembered on the envelope or a separate sheet of paper and put it in the envelope, along with your offering. Care for Creation and Environmental Stewardship
Summer energy savings tips:
--Turn off your air conditioner and open windows on cool mornings/days;
--Set your thermostat a few degrees higher (for less A/C if health permits) and even higher when leaving your residence;
--Close blinds/shades to the hot sun;
--Turn on a fan (which uses less energy) instead of your air conditioner to circulate air;
--Cook outside or use a microwave instead of your oven;
--Run major appliances with full loads during off-peak hours;
--Switch to LED bulbs and turn off lights as you leave a room;
--Unplug chargers and electronics when not in use;
--To the extent safely possible, avoid idling your car.
